Effective 4 August 2026 · Qevix Labs
The short version. My Money Tracker keeps your financial records in a database on your own phone. There is no account to create, no server to sign in to, and nothing you type into the app is ever sent to us — we have no way of reading it. The app talks to the internet for exactly three things, listed below, and none of them carry your figures.
My Money Tracker ("the app") is an Android application published by Qevix Labs
("we", "us"), with the package name com.qevixlabs.mywallet. This
policy covers that app and nothing else.
Everything you enter — accounts, balances, payments, loans, goals, reminders and settings — is written to a private database inside the app's own storage on your device. It is not uploaded, synced, mirrored or backed up to us or to anyone else.
Android's own "Auto Backup" is deliberately turned off in the app. Left at its default it would copy the whole database to your Google Drive without asking, which would contradict everything above.
The app can write a backup as a JSON file to a folder you choose with your phone's file picker, either on demand or on a schedule you set. That file is yours: we never see it. If you choose a folder belonging to a cloud service, your data goes wherever that service takes it — that is your decision and their privacy policy, not ours.
| What | Why | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| Exchange rates | Converting between currencies | A currency code (e.g. "USD"). No amounts, no identifiers. Fetched from the public jsDelivr CDN and, as a fallback, open.er-api.com. |
| Advertising | The app is free and shows an occasional full-screen ad | Handled by Google AdMob. See below. |
| Update check | Only in the copy distributed from GitHub | A request to GitHub for the latest published version number. The version installed from Google Play does not do this — Play updates it. |
There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking pixel and no advertising or marketing profile built by us. We collect nothing.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. Google's SDK may collect and use an advertising identifier and related device and usage information in order to serve and measure ads. This is Google's processing, under Google's terms, and we receive none of your financial data through it — only aggregate earnings figures.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Settings → Google → Ads on your phone. Where the law requires it (the EEA and the UK), the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that answer later.
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
| Internet, network state | Exchange rates, ads, and the update check |
| Notifications | The daily reminder about payments that are due, if you switch it on |
| Biometric / device credential | The optional app lock. The app never sees your fingerprint or PIN — it asks Android whether it is you |
| Advertising ID | Added by the Google AdMob SDK, as described above |
| Install packages | Only in the GitHub build, so it can hand a downloaded update to Android's installer, which still asks you to confirm. The Google Play build does not have this permission |
My Money Tracker is not directed to children. It is intended for people aged 18 and over and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child.
Because your data lives only on your phone, you are the only one who can delete it — and you can, completely:
Neither leaves a copy anywhere else, because there was never a copy anywhere else. Backup files you made yourself are yours to delete.
The database sits in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. You can add an app lock that uses your phone's own fingerprint or PIN. As with any app, someone who can unlock your phone can open it — so keep your phone locked, and keep your own backups safe.
If this changes, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date. Anything that materially changes what leaves your phone will also be described in the app's release notes.
